SSA11

In 2011, the customer survey received 10,289 responses from end-users of business software – a clear record for the Awards, and also one of the largest pieces of business opinion research ever conducted in the UK.

In addition to quantative survey questions, the SSA survey also contained an optional comments box for customers to leave their thoughts (which would always be kept anonymous, to encourage honest responses). In 2011, 46% of respondents chose to leave comments – that's over 4,700 pieces of qualitative data on how well the business software industry is serving its customers.

SSA10

In 2010, the end-user survey was expanded in order to explore business software customer satisfaction in more depth.

The established SSA metrics of ease of use, functionality, reliability, and value for money were joined by likelihood to repurchase, likelihood to recommend to others, and overall satisfaction with the provider. This extra insight gave entrants a much richer picture of how their customers feel.

SSA09

Over 8,100 business software users took part in the Software Satisfaction Awards 2009 survey – making it of the UK's largest individual pieces of business opinion research.

As in 2008, the survey encompassed a wide range of software for various business disciplines and, in total, over 100 business software products were represented, from 72 vendors.

All of the software houses and resellers that reached the SSA09 shortlist – and of course the worthy category winners – feature in the 2009 Award Winners Annual (PDF, 2.2MB).

SSA08

The customer survey for SSA08 attracted over 5,900 responses, nearly three times the volume of the previous year and clear evidence of the importance of software solutions to business users.
